The Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainer is an upgrade from the Schwinn 418 Elliptical Trainer which is considered to be one of the top selling elliptical trainers in Amazon.com.

The Schwinn 418 had only one wheel rail design; this was criticized by some reviewers because it may not provide stability in the long run. This short coming was resolved in the Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainer.

Features and Benefits of Schwinn 430

The new Schwinn 430 elliptical trainer features a concave wheel that is designed to reduce the shifting. This is really a big improvement compared to the previous designs as it guarantees more stability and smoother operation.

Another feature that makes the Schwinn 430 a good fitness training equipment is its 18 inch stride. This is a very comfortable range and can accommodate most people of different height (as long as you're not over 6 feet) or stride length. Its elliptical motion is very smooth. You can’t find another elliptical in this price range that is as comfortable as the Schwinn 430 Cross Trainer.

There may be some cheap elliptical machines that offer the same 18 inch stride feature but they are not as comfortable as the elliptical stride that the Schwinn 430 offers. The Schwinn 430 has a total of 16 levels of resistance. Changing the resistance level is easy. All you have to do is to press the button.

This exercise machine is stable as it weighs around 150 pounds. Other elliptical trainers of the same price range only weigh at around 115 pounds. However, if you're weighing more than 200 pounds, then you should consider another model.

Its compact size is ideal if you have limited space in your home. Furthermore, you can move it around your home easily with its wheels.

The Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainer is also a comfortable fitness training equipment because it has articulating foot pedals. This is designed to reduce stress during exercise.

1. Although operating on front drive which usually affect the natural motion of the stride, it proves to be smooth and quiet.
2. It is easy to assemble especially with the help of illustrated manual.
3. Although it is only 150 lbs, they find the elliptical to be solid.

What Consumers Don't Like About Schwinn 430

1. Some users are not good with wrenches and screwdrivers. They had problem putting up the equipment.
2. Warranty on the labor is too short.
3. They can't see clearly on the small LCD display.

What Do We Think

If you're only interested in light workouts, then the Schwinn 430 elliptical machine is suitable for you. Coupled with features that are not commonly found in other cross trainers in this budget category, we can say that it is best for home use.
